英国の音楽雑誌「Mojo」が実施した投票による調査で、ジョン・レノンの「IN MY LIFE」がかつて書かれた全ての曲の中のグレイテスト・ソングに選ばれた。

Brian Wilson、Jerry Leiber、Hal Davidをはじめとする世界のトップ・ソングライター達がそれぞれ自分のトップ10のリストを提案し、それをもとに最終的なリストが作られた。TOP10は次の通り。

日本でも人気の高い「In My Life」は、1965年に発表されたビートルズのアルバム「Rubber Soul」に収録されている。世界的に有名なソング・ライター達によって選ばれたのは、「Yesterday」でも「Imagine」でもなく、またシングルとしてのリリースもされていない曲だった。

なお、ビートルズの曲では「Here, There And Everywhere」が4位に入っている。「Yesterday」は11位だった。ビートルズのナンバーの順位は次の通り。
